The Deschutes river is the lifeblood of Central Oregon, distributing water from the Cascades mountains throughout the region. The images in this section are taken on the Deschutes River Ranch, a client of mine whose property straddles the river and offers their residents access to the river with hiking and horseriding trails, waterfalls and swimming holes. Irrigated pastures provide grazing for their cows, and some of the photos show their annual cattle run from winter to summer pastures. see www.deschutesriverranch.com
